Mahmoud Samandarian was born in 1963 in Isfahan. He is graduated in bachelors of Arts in Painting and Master of Arts in Illustration from Fine Arts Faculty of Tehran.

He is famous for his fascinating watercolor paintings. His artworks have been shown in more than one hundred exhibitions, domestic and foreign.

He works as a professional painter and illustrator; furthermore he has published several books , teaches painting in Fine Arts Faculty and his private institute.

He has been received many awards as Second prize for Contemporary Painting Biennale, first prize for Art and Nature exhibition and special prize for opening of Palestine Museum.
